The Bone Season

This series is still ongoing, which is incredibly exciting. Also the author revised the books recently, so pick up the newer versions. Dystopian but the oppressive powers are targeting individuals who can interact with and wield the spirit world. Action-packed, also sort of morphs into another fun genre but I can’t say which as that might be spoilery. Dark but not depressing.
