NK Jemisin could write the phone book and I would read it, which is why she was the first person to win the Hugo Award three times in a row. Dystopian climate meets fantasy-ish and with diversity that you don’t usually find in either category. Dark but fascinating, look up content warnings if you need. And the audiobook reader sort of ruined other audiobooks for me, she’s so good. My husband loved this too.
